How to proceed if the game refuses to launch on Steam?


First of all, make sure your PC fulfills the minimum requirements displayed on our game store page.

If it does, we suggest verifying the integrity of your game files via your Steam Library.

  • Go to your Steam Library
  • Right click on the game
  • Go to Properties
  • Click on Local Files
  • Click on Verify integrity of Game Files
  • When loading is over, launch the game


After verifying your files, if the game still refuses to launch please check if your antivirus isn’t conflicting with the launch of the game.

There is input delay when playing with my controller. What shall I do?

 

  • Go to your Steam Library
  • Right click on the game
  • Go to Properties
  • If your Steam Input option is enabled, disable it
  • Launch the game

    What shall I do if my controller randomly pauses the game?


    • Press "Windows" tab
    • Get back to the game
    • See if the controller stops scrolling the menu
    • Resume the game

    Why did I get an error message when launching the game?


    • Do you play on several devices?
    • Did you manually edit or erase your save?
    • Did something happen the last time you quit the game? (crash on desktop, blue/black screen etc…)

    Check if WIndows10 is up to date


    • RIght click on Windows Start Button
    • Go to Settings
    • Go to Update and Security
    • Click on Check for Update button from Windows Update

    Update your drivers (Nvidia, AMD etc.)



    Update your audio driver


    • Right click on the Windows Start Button
    • Go to Device Manager
    • Open Sound, Video and Game controllers panel
    • Right click on the default audio device
    • Update driver

    Generate a .dxdiag report


    If all the above did not fix your issue, you will be asked to provide a .dxdiag when submitting your technical issue report. Here’s how to generate one:

    • Hold on the Windows Key and press R
    • The Run dialog appears
    • Type dxdiag into the search box and press Enter
    • Click OK
    • Select Save All Information
    • Set the Save as type to Text file (.txt)
    • Save the file Dxdiag.txt to your desktop so it’s easier to find
    • If the development team ask you to send your dxdiag, please attach them using Wetransfer and/or SendAnywhere

    Where can I find my logs information?


    • Navigate to ~/.local/share/Streets of Rage 4 Save and Config/
    • Copy and paste the following groupe of files DETAILED, MAJOR and NORMAL
    • If the development team ask you to send your logs, please attach them using Wetransfer and/or SendAnywhere

    If you want to enable Steam Cloud Saving?


    • Quit the Game
    • Right click on the game in your library
    • Go to Properties
    • Go to General Tab
    • Enable Steam Cloud Saving
    • Launch the game
    • Choose to keep the local files when prompted to do so

    What shall I do when Steam doesn’t recognize my controller?


    If you own a third-party controller (Xbox, Playstation, Nintendo Switch) that isn’t recognized by Steam, we recommend trying Big Picture mode.

    To enable it
    • Launch Steam
    • Click on the Big Picture button featured in the top right corner in the Steam Client

    To disable it
    • Press ALT + ENTER on your keyboard
    • Click on Exit
